Summary of Request

The California Budget Act of 2020 provided $8 Million Dollars statewide to support the Transitional Housing Program (THP). THP funding for Mendocino County for Fiscal Year 2020-2021 is $24,000 and is to be used to help young adults ages 18-25 secure and maintain housing, with priority given to young adults formerly in the State’s foster care or probation systems. Continued funding past December 31, 2021, is subject to State budget appropriation.

 

This is the second round of funding from the California Department of Housing And Community Development for THP. The Notice of Funding was released on July 27, 2020, and the Acceptance Documentation is due November 12, 2020.
