PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
The Board previously approved the County of Mendocino entering into an agreement for trail maintenance and improvement projects with the City of Ukiah and the Ukiah Valley Trail Group in 2016; Agreement No. #16-091.
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
In 2010 the City of Ukiah and the County of Mendocino entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the maintenance and operation of Low Gap Park. In 2016, in order to coordinate trail enhancements and/or improvement projects in the park use area, the City of Ukiah and the County of Mendocino entered into an MOU with Ukiah Valley Trail Group (UVTG). The MOU with the UVTG establishes a framework of cooperation between the three organizations to assist one another in areas of mutual interest and concern as it pertains to Low Gap Park with the County of Mendocino continuing to operate, manage, maintain, and provide oversight of the park use area.
