Approve the Agreement with Taylor Code Consulting, in the amount of $375,000 to provide Code Enforcement Division Consulting Services, Cannabis Regulatory Enforcement, Fire/Disaster recovery, and COVID response Assistance, as directed by the County of Mendocino, for a term of 30 months, beginning on January 1, 2021 and expiring on June 30, 2023, and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Mendocino County Planning and Building Services (PBS) released a Request for Proposal (RFP) of Code Enforcement Management, PBS 20-004, in July of 2020. Three responsive proposals were submitted and rated by three individual reviewers. Of those reviews, Taylor Code Consulting received the highest scores and displays the most professional knowledge, desirable skills, previous enforcement experience and County government experience. Scope of work for the agreement will include Code Enforcement Consulting, Cannabis Regulatory Enforcement, Fire/Disaster Recovery and COVID Response, as well as advising staff on code enforcement policies and procedures, assistance with abatement of abandoned vehicles, and direction on contracts related to the code enforcement division, etc. Funding will be partially provided through Nuisance Abatem...
