Approve retroactive Agreement with Round Valley Indian Health Center in the amount of $654,833 for the Mental Health Services Act Round Valley Crisis Response Services Innovation Project, effective July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2022; authorize the Health and Human Services Agency Assistant Director to sign any future amendments to the Agreement that do not exceed the maximum amount; authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The Board of Supervisors approved the initial Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) Innovation Component Work Plan for the Round Valley Crisis Response Project on September 19, 2017. The State Mental Health Services Oversight and Accountability Commission (MHSOAC) approved the Project Plan on October 26, 2017. The initial plan was for a three-year project with a start date of January 15, 2018, for Crisis Response Services in Round Valley.
The project has established a welcoming, homelike environment at the Center of Healing Hearts. The Center's manager and two peer specialists engage with individuals in distress, exploring modalities of responding to needs.
