The Board of Supervisors referred this request to the General Government Standing Committee on June 10, 2020. On July 13, 2020, staff presented a review of all Sheriff-Coroner contracts to the General Government Standing Committee. The Sheriff-Coroner was directed to present further information at the September 21, 2020, meeting. Additionally, on November 4, 2020 staff presented a review of Mendocino County Department of Transportation contracts.
Summary of Referral:
During the Board of Supervisors’ Fiscal Year 2020-21 Budget Deliberations, there was discussion regarding Countywide contracts, administration practices, and fiscal obligation and reconciliation. Pursuant to the Board’s direction, discussion regarding a review of all contracts was referred to the Board’s General Government Standing Committee. With new members of the Board of Supervisors and the General Government Standing Committee having been sworn in, it is asked that direction be given to clarify what reviews need to be done continuing forward.
