PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
On January 26, 2021, the Board of Supervisors directed County Counsel to draft an ordinance changing the structure of the composition of the Planning Commission by reducing its seats to one per supervisorial district.
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The Board of Supervisors previously directed County Counsel to draft an ordinance which would reduce the number of seats on the Planning Commission from seven (7) to five (5). The Board directed the two (2) at large seats be removed and that the new Commission consist of one representative appointed from each supervisorial district. The Board additionally directed that the ordinance create five alternate seats, one for each of the existing seats.
The proposed ordinance would amend Chapter 2.48 of the Mendocino County Code to make those changes directed by the Board of Supervisors.
