Summary of Request:
Mendocino County Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA), Special Investigations Unit (SIU), issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for security guard services on April 1, 2019. American Guard Services (AGS) was the top ranked vendor for security guard services and selected by SIU to contract with HHSA. AGS has an existing contract to provide guard services at HHSA sites in Mendocino County.
AGS will provide an armed uniformed security guard to monitor persons placed in quarantine in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Duties include safeguarding the staff and people quarantining at the Whitmore Care Facility, preventing unauthorized entry into the facility, and making sure the facility is secure. The proposed amendment increases the amount for an additional 3076 hours which equals 12 separate quarantine events each lasting 10 days, for 24 hour coverage each day.
