Approve Agreement with North Coast Opportunities, Walk and Bike Mendocino in the amount of $94,778 to implement bike and pedestrian education and outreach programs county-wide through California Office of Traffic Safety grant awarded to Public Health, Community Wellness, effective upon full execution through September 30, 2021; authorize Health and Human Services Agency Assistant Director to sign future amendments that do not increase the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Health and Human Services Agency, Public Health, Community Wellness was awarded funding in the amount of $100,000.00 from California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) to partner with North Coast Opportunities, Walk and Bike Mendocino to conduct best practice strategies to reduce the number of persons killed and injured in crashes involving pedestrians and bicyclists. The funded strategies may include classroom education, bicycle rodeos, community events, presentations, and workshops.
