Retroactively approve emergency purchase of two new Teledyne API model T400 ozone air monitors through Clipper Controls, Teledyne Sales Agent, to replace the District's failing ozone monitoring network in the amount of $21,894.43, purchased on February 19, 2021 as authorized by the Air District's Board-adopted emergency purchase process; approve the transfer of funds from the District's fund balance to increase appropriation for Budget Unite 0327 expense account, Line Item AQ 86-4370, Fixed Assets by $21,894.43; authorize the Auditor to pay for these fixed assets; add these items to the District's list of fixed assets; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Since 1992 the Air District has been continuously monitoring ozone in Ukiah. Ozone is a precursor of smog and a regulated criteria pollutant in ambient air. Ozone concentrations in Ukiah have been in Attainment Status with federal and state ambient air quality standards since monitoring began. Failure to collect and report ozone concentrations meeting federal and state quality assurance standards for more than 21 days may jeopardize Mendocino County's Ozone Attainment Status.
