SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The CSAC Institute for Excellence in County Government is a professional, practical continuing education program for senior county staff and elected officials. Its goal is to expand capacity and capability of county elected officials and senior staff to provide extraordinary services to their communities.

Mendocino County staff started the Institute courses February, 2020. The courses were postponed in early 2020 due to the declared COVID-19 pandemic. The County has resumed the courses and in addition, the County has accommodated more staff than first anticipated due to the change from in person courses to a virtual classroom.

Human Resources is requesting additional funds that will allow the County to continue to offer the courses to the original attendees and allow for additional staff to participate.

ALTERNATIVE ACTION/MOTION:
