By Resolution Number (No.) 19-037 (February 26, 2019) the Board of Supervisors declared the existence of a local emergency related to the February 2019 Winter Storms Event.
Summary of Request:
These five Department of Transportation (DOT) contracts will provide for construction of the 2019 Storm Damage permanent repairs on Briceland Road, County Road (CR) 435, milepost (MP) 4.79; Fish Rock Road, CR 122, MP 17.35; Gualala Road, CR 501, MP 0.33; Peachland Road, CR 128, MP 1.60; and Windy Hollow Road, CR 508, MP 2.11, at an estimated cost of $2,989,800, with a local match of $186,863. Funding for Fiscal Year (FY) 2020/21 and FY 2021/22 is budgeted through Budget Unit (BU) 3030, and is anticipated to be 93.75% reimbursable through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and California Disaster Assistance Act (CDAA) funding. The project work will consist of the construction of soldier pile walls, underdrain systems, and rock slope protection, etc. Eligibility for FEMA and CDAA funding will be confirmed prior to contracting.
