By Resolution Number (No.) 08-205 (October 21, 2008), the Board of Supervisors (BOS) approved BOS Agreement No. 08-185/ Department of Transportation (DOT) Agreement No. 080059, with Mark Thomas and Company for the plans, specifications, and estimate bid package for the seismic retrofit of two County maintained bridges, the Eureka Hill Road Bridge over Garcia River, County Road (CR) 505, milepost (MP) 4.92, and the Moore Street Bridge over Russian River, CR 229B, MP 0.45. By Resolution No. 18-203 (December 18, 2018), the BOS approved BOS Agreement No. 18-178/DOT Agreement No. 180027, with Mark Thomas and Company to complete the plans, specifications, and estimate bid package for the seismic retrofit of the Eureka Hill Road Bridge over Garcia River.
Summary of Request:
Mendocino County Department of Transportation will prepare and administer construction plans, specifications, estimates, and contract documents for DOT Contract No. 210021, for the seismic retrofit of Bridge No. 10C0034 on Eureka Hill Road over Garcia River, CR 505, MP 4.92. This project is for the seismic retrofit of the existing concrete and steel bridge with one lane closure at an estimated cost of $1,556,500, including contingency. The project is to be funded primarily through the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Highway Bridge Program (HBP), with the local match covered through the Local Bridge Seismic Retrofit Account (LBSRA).
