SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Hawkins, Delafield & Woods, LLP, provides specialized legal services related to financing, and most recently assisted the County with the modification of the collateral of the County's Certificates of Participation. County Counsel is requesting the Board to approve the amendment to this agreement as the current contractor's services has exceeded the amount of our current agreement by $10,000. The amendment is requested to be retroactive because the vendor's billable hours have exceeded the current cap. Exceeding the cap was not expected, and only recently became apparent when invoices for a significant period of time were sent out at once. It is also the desire to extend the termination date by two years from June 30, 2021 to June 20, 2023, in order to allow for potential assistance in the future.
