Approve Retroactive Second Amendment to Agreement BOS-17-131 with NaphCare Inc. in the amount of $283,568.34 for a new agreement total of $1,074,536.98 for the Jail Based Competency Treatment (JBCT) Program to inmates of the Mendocino County Jail with funding from the Department of State Hospitals, effective July 23, 2019 through April 30, 2021; and authorize Chair to sign same.

PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
The Board approved the First Amendment to Agreement BOS-17-131 with NaphCare Inc. for the JBCT Program on July 23, 2019. The Board approved the First Amendment to BOS Agreement 19-133 with the Department of State Hospitals (DSH) to support more admissions to the JBCT Program.
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
On May 7, 2019, the Board of Supervisors approved an agreement with the Department of State Hospitals and the Sheriff's Office to provide a JBCT Program at the jail. DSH will reimburse the County at an all-inclusive rate of $29,294.25 per patient inmate for services articulated in the DSH contract.
On July 23, 2019, the Board of Supervisors approved an amendment to BOS Agreement number 17-131 for NaphCare Inc. to provide all of the services outlined in the DSH contract and be reimbursed by the County at an all-inclusive rate of $25,778.94 per patient inmate.
