Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:
The Board approved the First Amendment to Agreement BOS-17-131 with NaphCare Inc. for the JBCT Program on July 23, 2019. The Board approved the First Amendment to BOS Agreement 19-133 with the Department of State Hospitals (DSH) to support more admissions to the JBCT Program.
Summary of Request:
On May 7, 2019, the Board of Supervisors approved an agreement with the Department of State Hospitals and the Sheriff’s Office to provide a JBCT Program at the jail. DSH will reimburse the County at an all-inclusive rate of $29,294.25 per patient inmate for services articulated in the DSH contract.
On July 23, 2019, the Board of Supervisors approved an amendment to BOS Agreement number 17-131 for NaphCare Inc. to provide all of the services outlined in the DSH contract and be reimbursed by the County at an all-inclusive rate of $25,778.94 per patient inmate.
On April 6, 2021, the Board of Supervisors approved an amendment to BOS Agreement 19-133 with DSH to add $351,531 in additional funds to the JBCT Program to support more admissions.
This Retroactive Second Amendment adds $283,568.34 to the current JBCT Program agreement between MCSO and NaphCare Inc. to support 11 more patient inmates admitted before April 30, 2021. Due to negotiations and finalizing the details of the DSH Amendment, this Second Amendment to the NaphCare Inc. JBCT Program is being presented for retroactive consideration.
