PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
Board approved Amendment 1 on 6/10/2020. Board approved Amendment 2 on 9/22/2020.
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
On July 1, 2019, the Sheriff's Office entered into a one-year term agreement with In-Custody Transportation Inc. for its prisoner transportation services for the County Jail in the amount of $50,000. On June 10, 2020, the BOS approved the first amendment for $50,000 for a new contract total of $100,000 and a new term date of June 30, 2021. On September 22, 2020, the BOS approved the second amendment for $50,000 for a new contract total of $150,000.
The Sheriff's Office requests the third amendment to add funding to the contract due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The $5,354.37 remaining on the contract is not sufficient for the Sheriff's Office to pay for current invoices and future transportation requests from the DA's Office.
