PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
The Board of Supervisors adopted the FY 2020-21 Mendocino County Budget on June 23, 2020 (Resolution 20-088) after budget hearings held on June 9-10, 2020. On December 8, 2020, the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution 20-163 amending the FY 2020-21 adopted Budget at First Quarter. On March 9, 2021, the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution 21-030 amending the FY 2020-21 adopted Budget at Mid-Year. On May 4, 2021, the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution 21-065 amending the FY 2020-21 adopted budget at Third Quarter.
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
It has been reported by the Executive Office budget team that the departmental requests for funding this Fiscal Year exceed their assigned net county cost by approximately 20 million. During these times the County of Mendocino budget should focus on Preserve, Respond, Protect, Recover related to State, Federal and Local Mandates, with good financial stewardship and accountability.
