On March 24, 2020 the Board approved Agreement No. 20-026.

Summary of Request

Human Resources is charged with administering the Mendocino County Working on Wellness (MCWOW) program.  The MCWOW program provides opportunities for wellness services for all employees and their insured family members through access to health promotion, education, assessment, activities and health coaching.  MCWOW also provides prevention services in the form of on-site flu vaccines for all employees.

On March 24, 2020 The Board approved Agreement No. 20-026 with Virgin Pulse to provide wellness services however, the Agreement did not include flu vaccines.  The County did contract with another vendor for the on-site flu vaccines however, the vendor moved to a new provider who subsequently canceled all scheduled services, thus not meeting contractual obligations as outlined in the Agreement.  It has since been discovered that these issues have been frequent and re-occurring with the vendor’s chosen vaccine provider.

Human Resources is requesting to contract for flu vaccination service with the current wellness vendor.
