Approve Agreement with Redwood Community Services, Inc. in the amount of $152,000 to provide an inland shelter and day center to qualified individuals in Mendocino County, effective July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022; authorize the Health and Human Services Agency Assistant Director/Social Services Director or designee to sign any future amendments that do not increase the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Mendocino County currently contracts with Redwood Community Services, Inc. (RCS) to provide shelter services and related resources to inland clients at the Building Bridges Homeless Resource Center, located at 1045 S. State Street, Ukiah. These services address the needs of Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) General Assistance (GA) clients, and families and individuals in Mendocino County who are experiencing homelessness and need to be sheltered. RCS provides beds, meals, shower and laundry facilities, phone access, mail delivery, other amenities, outreach, Individualized Housing Plans, and case management to qualified individuals. Additionally, this site serves as a central hub for local service providers to provide direct services and refer clients for other appropriate services.
