Approve retroactive Agreement with National Alliance on Mental Illness Mendocino in the amount of $57,000 to provide Mental Health Services Act, Prevention and Early Intervention funded programs, effective July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022; authorize Health and Human Services Agency Assistant Director/Behavioral Health and Recovery Services Director to sign any future amendments that do not increase the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) Community Services and Supports (CSS) services and Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) services work to reduce risk factors for the development or severity of symptoms of mental illness. MHSA requires qualified providers of CSS and PEI services within certain areas of the County. The proposed contract covers the Mental Health Services Act, Prevention and Early Intervention component to build protective factors and reduce negative outcomes related to mental illness. The services include education to clients and family members, outreach, advocacy, and support for clients and their family members. Services may be conducted through classes, groups, individual outreach, and the Warm Line.
