Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:
The Board of Supervisors referred this request to the General Government Standing Committee on June 10, 2020. On July 13, 2020, staff presented a review of all Sheriff-Coroner contracts to the General Government Standing Committee. The Sheriff-Coroner was directed to present further information at the September 21, 2020, meeting. Additionally, on November 4, 2020 staff presented a review of Mendocino County Department of Transportation contracts. On February 8, 2021, staff was directed to return to a subsequent meeting with two department heads to discuss retroactive Agreements.
Summary of Referral:
During the Board of Supervisors’ Fiscal Year 2020-21 Budget Deliberations, there was discussion regarding Countywide contracts, administration practices, and fiscal obligation and reconciliation. Pursuant to the Board’s direction, discussion regarding a review of all contracts was referred to the Board’s General Government Standing Committee. Today, the review process continues with the departments of Behavioral Health and Social Services.
