Ratify submission of grant application and approve retroactive revenue agreement with National Association of County and City Health Officers in the amount of $35,000 for building rural workforce capacity training and technical assistance, effective February 5, 2021 through July 31, 2021; authorize Health and Human Services Agency Assistant Director/ Public Health Director to sign any future amendments to the Agreement that do not increase the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
On November 30, 2020, Mendocino County Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) submitted an application for funds from the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) for Building Workforce Capacity of Rural/Frontier Local Health Departments to Respond to COVID-19. On July 1, 2021, HHSA was notified of available funds from NACCHO and asked to execute the resulting revenue Agreement for Building Rural Workforce Capacity, Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) services. These funds enable the County to address challenges faced with achieving adequate personnel to address the COVID-19 pandemic, and provides training and technical assistance on best practices with a focus on vaccine administration.
