Approve retroactive Agreement with Redwood Taxi, LLC, in the amount of $25,000, to provide transportation during the COVID-19 pandemic, effective July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022; authorize the Public Health Director to sign any amendments that do not increase the maximum amount; authorize the Purchasing Agent to sign amendments that do not exceed a total contract amount of $50,000; and authorize the Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Since January 2021, Redwood Taxi has been providing transportation services for the County during the COVID-19 pandemic. Redwood Taxi provides transportation for individuals from their location to the location for isolation and/or quarantine. Redwood Taxi ensures the cars are disinfected and the transporter has proper protection and full Personal Protective Equipment.
The previous Agreement for these COVID related services was effective January 14, 2021, through June 30, 2021. With continuation of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Mendocino County Public Health Department requests that Redwood Taxi continue providing transportation services through a new agreement effective July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022. With the recent unexpected up-tick of COVID-19 cases in Mendocino County, the Public Health Department Operations Center requests retroactive approval of this agreement.
