PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
An MOU between the Friends of Round Valley Library and Mendocino County was approved by the Board of Supervisors on November 6, 2018: item 4k.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The Laytonville community has worked several years to help create a Mendocino County Library location in Laytonville. They have found a location in a small mall in downtown Laytonville to run a store-front Library and have spent several months working on the space. The new location has a main area for circulation items grouped according to collections, a space for a story-time, space for two public internet computers, a small staff circulation area, and a break room. The space has been evaluated by the County Safety Officer and inspectors.

Harwood Memorial Park, Inc. (HMP) has partnered with the Friends of the Long Valley Public Library to create this Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Mendocino County Library. The MOU specifies that the rental amount of $16,000 per year may be increased annually by the California West Region CPI with an annual cap of 3%.
