PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
On September 9, 2015, the Board of Supervisors approved the FY 2015-16 Mendocino County Final Budget, which included $75,000 in funding to upgrade the County's website. This funding was carried over into the FY 2016-17 Proposed Budget.
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Improving technologies, including our County website, are important aspects in delivery of services for citizens, maintaining transparency within the governmental processes and to quickly and effectively provide citizens with information. To improve our website design and function to meet current website best practices, the Executive Office began researching website development options. Ease of navigation, having an intuitive and adaptive interface and the capability to update not only the webpage but various forms of social media simultaneously were key components in researching and choosing a website development company.
