Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:

On December 11, 2012, the Board approved agreement number 12-136 with Liebert Cassidy Whitmore.  On November 5, 2013, the Board approved an amendment to agreement number 12-136.  On February 11, 2014, the Board approved an additional amendment to agreement 12-136 with Liebert Cassidy Whitmore. On June 17, 2014, the Board approved agreement number 14-034 with Liebert Cassidy Whitmore. On July 7, 2015, the Board approved agreement number 15-068 with Liebert Cassidy Whitmore. On May 17, 2016, the Board approved an amendment to agreement number 15-068 with Liebert Cassidy Whitmore.

 

Summary of Request

A primary duty of the County is to negotiate the wages and benefits of its employees with the employees’ representative labor organizations. Due to processes imposed by the State Legislature, the contract with Liebert Cassidy Whitmore is needed to receive adequate representation for labor negotiations and other legal representation as needed. Approximately $65,000 will be paid through Health and Human Services Agency funding.
