Summary of Request

The WIOA requires that a MOU be developed and executed between the Mendocino County WDB, the Chief Elected Official and the AJCC partners to establish an agreement concerning the operations of the one-stop delivery system.  The purpose of the MOU is to establish a cooperative working relationship between the partners and to define their respective roles and responsibilities in achieving the policy objectives. The MOU also serves to establish the framework for providing career and business services to employers, employees, job seekers and others needing workforce services in Mendocino County. The State of California Employment Development Department has required the MOU process to be completed in two phases. The MOU brought before you today completes the Phase I portion of the MOU process, which outlines the coordination of service delivery among all AJCC partners. The Phase II portion of the MOU will include the cost sharing agreements of each partner and is due by December 31, 2017. The WDB requests that the BOS approve Phase I MOU and requests that the Chief Elected Official sign the MOU on behalf of the BOS.
