SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The Carl Moyer Program is administered by the California Air Resources Board. The program creates incentives in the form of grants for public agencies and private companies that operate heavy-duty diesel engines in California. The District is requesting the total allocation of $246,386 from ARB for fiscal year 2015-16. The required matching funds were approved by the Board on December 11, 2012. State Carl Moyer Program funds along with the District's matching funds ($36,958) will be used to cover an incremental portion of the cost of purchasing new, replacing existing, or retrofitting existing diesel engines with cleaner on-road and off-road engines.
