The Board routinely approves letters of support and has done so previously for Pinoleville Pomo Nation grant applications, including a YouthBuild grant application that was awarded in 2012.
Summary of Request:
Supervisors Brown and McCowen are requesting approval of the attached letter of support for a YouthBuild grant application through the Department of Labor. The YouthBuild program encourages at risk and low income youth to obtain a high school diploma at the same time they are learning job and construction skills. For many participants, programs like YouthBuild are essential in order to provide the education and skills necessary to succeed in life.
