Approve Agreement with Chabot-Las Positas Community College District in the amount of $1,255,012, to provide evidence based training for foster care providers, group home staff and County staff serving Mendocino County’s Title IV-E federally eligible children; authorize the HHSA Director to sign any future amendments to the Agreement that do not increase the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

Summary of Request

Chabot-Las Positas Community College District (Chabot) provides evidence-based training for foster care providers, group home staff, adoptive parents and County staff serving Federal Title IV-E eligible children. These trainings include Positive Parenting Program (Triple P), Signs of Safety (SOS) and foster parent training.  Chabot contracts with local providers to manage, evaluate and document the trainings.

 

Funding is from the State and Title IV-E Federal funds with a required matching amount from Chabot. Trainings will include professionals, foster parents and guardians who work with foster and adoptive children within Title IV-E regulations.  This training is carefully coordinated with HHSA to help build comprehensive and consistent parenting skills throughout our community to better support caretakers in raising healthy and happy children.
