PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
On August 16, 2016, the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution No. 16-102 declaring an emergency due to damage to a County owned facility located at 737 S State St. Ukiah and delegated the authority to order any action pursuant to paragraph (1) of subdivision (a) of PCC 22050 to the Chief Executive Officer, or designee. The Board of Supervisors reaffirmed the declaration of emergency on August 30, 2016.
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
On August 13, 2016, the Mendocino County Executive Office and the Health and Human Services Agency were notified of a water leak in the County owned Social Services facility at 737 S. State St. A faulty pipe cap on a waterline that was being remodeled cracked and flooded around 9000 sq. ft. of the facility. County staff has been working with contractors to perform remediation work, relocate staff, schedule hazardous materials testing and actively plan for the complete restoration of the facility.
