Summary of Request

The Mendocino County Homeless Services Continuum of Care Point-In-Time Committee is presenting the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors with a report regarding the 2016 homeless census.  The homeless census, called the “Point-In-Time Count,” was completed with the help of numerous volunteers including homeless, formerly homeless, and various participating community agencies.

This report includes the census numbers, a brief synopsis of the history, what and who is involved, and fiscal expenditures.  This census helps improve current homeless management policy and empowers all agencies and groups to more effectively develop services and programs to serve the County’s homeless population.
