PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
On August 2, 2016, the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors directed staff to provide status updates regarding the development of the draft Medical Cannabis Cultivation Ordinance, draft Medical Cannabis Cultivation Site Zoning Regulation and California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Project Description and Initial Study. Updates were presented, with direction provided to staff by the Board of Supervisors, during the September 13, 2016 and September 20, 2017, Board of Supervisors meetings.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Staff is proposing minor changes are to the Draft Medical Cannabis Cultivation Ordinance. These proposed changes are outlined in a memo by the Agricultural Commissioner dated September 27, 2016, entitled "Summary of Four Minor Verbiage Changes to the Current Draft Cannabis Cultivation Ordinance" (attached) incorporating the direction provided by the Board during the September 20, 2017, Board of Supervisors meeting.

Staff anticipates the CEQA Project Description and Initial Study will be posted for public review mid - October. Staff will notify the Board of Supervisors when the 30 days public comment period begins.
