Accept the update regarding the development of a Medical Cannabis Business License and Zoning Regulations for the dispensing, distribution, processing, testing, manufacturing, delivery and transportation of cannabis.

Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:

On March 15 and May 16, 2016, the Board of Supervisors provided direction to create a comprehensive ordinance that address all cannabis license types allowed under the State Medical Cannabis Regulation and Safety Act of 2015, in addition to cultivation.  On June 7, 2016, the Board of Supervisors referred the development of cannabis ordinances to the Board’s General Government Standing Committee.

 

Summary of Request

At the direction of the General Government Standing Committee, staff from the Executive Office, Planning and Building, Environmental Health and Treasure Tax-Collector, will provide the Board an update and overview of the proposed cannabis business license ordinance and zoning regulation.
