Appoint Supervisor Carre Brown as Director/Board Member Representative and Supervisor Dan Gjerde as Alternate Representative to the California State Association of Counties (CSAC) Board of Directors, National Association of Counties (NACo), and Rural County Representatives of California (RCRC) for the 2016/2017 term and authorize staff to transmit said appointments to CSAC, NACo and RCRC.

PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
Last action of the Board taken on September 22, 2015. These are annual Board appointments traditionally acted on prior to CSAC's annual meeting in November, at which time a meeting of the new Board of Directors is convened.
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The constitution of the California State Association of Counties (CSAC) warrants that Boards of Supervisors elect a representative member and an alternate member to serve on the CSAC Board of Directors for a one-year period, commencing with the first day of the CSAC annual conference in November. This year's annual CSAC conference is scheduled to commence on November 29, 2016 in Palm Springs, California. Further, the Board of Supervisors considers the National Association of Counties (NACo) and Rural County Representatives of California (RCRC) member and alternate appointments annually as a special assignment.
