PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
By Resolution Number (No.) 12-079 (June 22, 2012), the Board of Supervisors (BOS) approved Department of Transportation (DOT) Agreement No. 110121/BOS Agreement No. 12-053 with Quincy Engineering, Inc., for professional services of preliminary engineering and design work. By Resolution No. 15-059 (April 21, 2015), BOS adopted an Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration and a Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program for this project under California Environmental Quality Act Requirements.
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Mendocino County Department of Transportation will prepare and administer construction plans, specifications, estimates, and contract documents for DOT Contract No. 160090, of the Rowes Creek Bridge over Rowes Creek on Sherwood Road. This project is for construction of a new bridge and on a new alignment and removal of the existing timber bridge. The total construction cost, including construction engineering and contingency, is estimated at $2,905,000 and the work will span the summer 2017 construction season.
