Approve Agreement with North Coast Opportunities in the amount of $57,226, to provide CalFresh outreach services to seniors, working families and those living in geographically isolated areas in fiscal year 2016-17; authorize the Health and Human Services Agency Director/ Chief Operations Officer to sign any future amendments to the Agreement that do not affect the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
In July of 2015, Mendocino County Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for local community-based organizations interested in providing CalFresh outreach services and activities specifically designed to promote participation in CalFresh by seniors, working families, and those living in geographically isolated communities. Additional goals of the project are to promote CalFresh participation through activities designed to encourage healthy eating on a budget, and to dispel myths and misconceptions about CalFresh through activities such as the CalFresh Challenge. North Coast Opportunities was one of the respondents to the RFQ whose proposal was accepted by the review committee and HHSA Administration.
