Approve the purchase of a 2017 Dodge Durango SXT Plus AWD in the amount of $32,769.54 utilizing DA-Asset Forfeiture Funds, authorizing the transfer of said funds to Budget Unit 2070 Line Item 864360; and, approve the purchase of a 2017 Toyota Tacoma Pickup Truck in the Amount of $30,704.18; approve the transfer of funds from Budget Unit 2851-862239 to 865802 to Fund 7110-Vehicle Replacement Fund, Budget Unit 0711, Line Item 827802, and 864370-Equipment; and, to add both vehicles to the County’s list of Fixed Assets.

Summary of Request:
The Facilities & Fleet Division of the Executive Office requests these two vehicle purchases on behalf of the District Attorney’s Office and Planning and Building Services; one vehicle is an addition to the District Attorney’s Fleet and is necessary for operational needs, and one for replacement of a Planning & Building Services Department high mileage, costly maintenance vehicle.
The First Vehicle is for the District Attorney’s Office; a 2017 Dodge Durango SXT Plus, AWD in the Amount of $32,769.54 Utilizing Asset Forfeiture Funds.
The Second Vehicle is for the Planning & Building Services Department; a 2017 Toyota Tacoma 4-Wheel Drive Pickup Truck, Extended Cab in the Amount of $30,704.18 Utilizing a Transfer of County General Funds from Budget Unit 2851-Planning & Building Services to Budget Unit 0711-Vehicle Replacement Fund, and Replacing Vehicle Number 060-042. The funding is a result of current year savings within the Planning and Building Budget Unit.
