Summary of Request

The State of California 9-1-1 Emergency Communications Office (9-1-1 Office) is supporting the purchase of a Netclock for the MCSO 9-1-1 Dispatch Center.  Accurate time-of-date is important in a 9-1-1 center. The Netclock accurately synchronizes all the software, networks and systems to log events with legally traceable time. The time stamping of event records provides critical legal evidence of emergency response times in courts protecting against potentially costly litigation. The Netclock keeps all the clocks in a center running exactly on time set by an atomic clock. This prevents conflicting records and documents. Currently our CAD, Telephones and Radio times can be out of sync for up to 5 minutes. A Netclock will correct this problem.  The State of California 9-1-1 Emergency Communications Office will reimburse the County for the purchase of the Netclock and its monthly maintenance fee.
