RECOMMENDED ACTION/MOTION:

Approve Agreement with Rural Communities Housing Development Corporation in the amount of $1,336,000 to provide Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) Rental Housing to Mendocino County residents and clients for HHSA BHRS Through December 2038; and authorize HHSA Director or designee to sign any future amendments to the Agreement that do not affect the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
On August 23, 2007, the State of California Department of Mental Health, now the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), and the California Housing Finance Agency (CalHFA) released the MHSA Housing Program notice of availability of funds to solicit qualified borrowers interested in applying for capital development and operating subsidies for permanent supportive housing for individuals with serious mental illness. HHSA submitted an application for these funds in order to provide housing services for this population in Mendocino County. ...
