Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:

The Board of Supervisor has taken numerous actions regarding compliance with Decision 16-12-066.

Summary of Request

On February 1, 2017 The Utility Reform Network (TURN) transmitted a letter to the California Public Utilities Commission opposing requests for extension of time for compliance with Decision 16-12-066. The carriers’ requests for delay exceed the proper scope of a request under Rule 16.6 of the California Public Utility Commissions Rules of Practice and Procedure.  Rather than serving a simple and reasonable request for extension, the requests presented by the carriers appear to effectively seek a stay of the requirements set out in the Final Decision and imply that such a delay or stay is intended to allow for a challenge to the Final Decision itself.  Due to the time sensitive nature of the letter, TURN transmitted the letter on behalf of Mendocino County prior to the next available Board of Supervisors meeting. Therefore, it is recommended that the Board of Supervisors ratify the letter.
