PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
On June 7, 2016, the Board of Supervisors approved an outdoor festival application for the Redwood Run.
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Pursuant to Mendocino County Code 6.16 approve the application from Kiwanis of the Redwoods for the Redwood Run 2017 to be held June 8-11, 2017; and to authorize the Tax Collector to issue an Outdoor Festival Application.
The Kiwanis of the Redwoods sponsored, annual Redwood Run Motorcycle Festival held in Piercy, California at the principal location of Riverview Ranch, Hwy 101, exit 267. The Redwood Run is a three day event featuring live music, camping, vendors, games and shows. The event is held at the Riverview Ranch on Highway 101 in Piercy, California and may draw up to 5,000 attendees.
The Tax Collector has compiled the information required to be submitted with the application, attached to the agenda for reference, and after finding it to be complete, submits the application to the Board for informational purposes only. The attached documentation contains: written consent from the property owners for the proposed use; proof of ownership of property where the festival is held; a statement from the Sheriff attesting to the adequacy of proposed security; a statement from the County Health Officer attesting to the adequacy of prop...
