The Board has approved OES transfer of funds and fixed asset purchases as recent as May 2, 2017 item 4t.
Summary of Request:
Mendocino County OES is seeking to purchase one Emergency Services Support Tent and related accessories, including a tent vestibule, electric wiring harness, and electric lighting for disaster/emergency responses. Many field based operations in Mendocino County take place away from suitable shelter and incident command locations, making response operations more difficult. This tent would be used by OES and other first responders and operational area partners to support field based operations during disaster/emergency responses. This tent would provide vital shelter and a location for logistical support and coordination during an emergency and will enhance response activities and give proper working conditions for responders who are serving the county residents during disasters and emergency situations.
This tent is being purchased using FY16 Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG) (Cal OES Grant # 2016-0010) funds from under a competitively awarded federal General Services Agency (GSA) contract.
