Summary of Request:
Mendocino County OES is seeking to purchase one 2017 Toyota 4-Runner SR5 V-6 for $39,024.38 including taxes and fees. This vehicle will be used by OES for both general OES operations and emergency response. Our rural County brings certain challenges during disasters and emergencies that make it necessary for OES to have a vehicle with greater ground clearance and 4-wheel ability in order to access incidents in our more remote and off-road locations to bring personnel and supplies to populations needing assistance. This vehicle will be purchased using FY16 Emergency Management Performance Grant funds (Cal OES Grant # 2016-0010). The funds are available for this purchase due to other pre-approved projects coming in under budget for this grant period.
