Summary of Request

On April 11, 2017, the Governing Board of Little Lake Fire Protection District (“District”) adopted a resolution requesting the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors (“Board”) to approve consolidation of the District’s election of their governing board with the Statewide General Election in November of each even-numbered year.  The Board received notice of this resolution on April 13, 2017.  All districts located in Mendocino County were sent notices in accordance with Election Code section 10404(c).  In accord with Elections Code section 10404(d), the Clerk-Recorder/Registrar of Voters prepared an impact analysis of the proposed consolidation.  Election Code section 10404(e) requires the Board to approve the District’s resolution unless it finds that the ballot style, voting equipment or computer capacity is such that additional elections or materials cannot be handled. As reflected in the impact analysis, no evidence exists to support such a finding at this time.

Decline to adopt resolution.
