SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Jannah Minnix applied for and received a scholarship from America Reads Spanish which will pay for airfare to attend the Second International Spanish Language Forum in Madrid Spain on October 4-6, 2017.

The International Book Fair priority objective is to provide a boost to the Spanish language as a business-generating asset to revitalize and internationalize the various production sectors that operate around the 2nd most widely spoken language in the world.

The project, designed as a forum for meeting and exchange for agents participating in the cultural industry around Spanish, will evolve around a full program of technical sessions and trade meetings (conferences, speeches, round-tables, workshops, and business meetings with specific appointments) that will encourage contact between private and public operators.

The content of the International Spanish Language Forum revolves around three points, all targeted at visiting professionals: one linguistic technology day, one language tourism day and one half-day on bilingual content, copyright and the digital culture.
