SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The purpose of this five-year contract with CDPH is to strengthen the ability of Mendocino County Health and Human Services Agency Public Health Department and the local private and publicly funded medical facilities/health care system, to respond to and recover from disasters. Disasters include all potential hazards, pandemics, natural disasters, and/or terrorist attacks. Through planning, training, and exercising specific skills and equipment regularly, the County and its partners will be better prepared to act effectively and efficiency in the worst case scenarios, thereby reducing loss of life, as well as property and environmental assets. Under this grant, refreshments and meals for training and exercise participants are allowed to be paid at the State's per diem rate.
