Summary of Request

This agreement provides emergency housing at Levine House for homeless AB 12 non-minor dependent young adults, ages 18 to 21, who have voluntarily chosen to remain in the foster care system and under the jurisdiction of the Mendocino County Juvenile Court. While youth are in residence at Levine House, Family and Children’s Services (FCS) works with them to find housing through Transitional Housing Foster Care programs or through a Supervised Independent Living arrangement. Mendocino County FCS is responsible for assisting AB 12 non-minor dependents with housing and services; therefore, it is imperative that emergency housing be available for these young adults.
