Approve amendment to Agreement No PR-P16-001 with Ford Street Project in the amount of $20,000 (for a new total of $60,000) to provide Standard 5 Day Detoxification Treatment Services for clients referred by the Probation Department for fiscal year 2017-18; authorize the Chief Probation Officer or designee to sign any future amendments to the Agreement that do not increase the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

Summary of Request

Ford Street Project provides, on a twenty-four hour basis, a licensed social model detox program for clients referred by the Probation Department.  Services include: transportation from Ford Street and oversight of prospective client to appropriate medical provider to obtain medical clearance for social detox, the provision of short term emergency shelter, referral to health services including outpatient detox, general alcohol education, food services, screening for residential treatment referral, short term crisis intervention counseling, emergency clothing, and personal hygiene support and supplies.
