Introduce and waive reading of Ordinance amending Section 15.20.030 of the Mendocino County Code - Permit Required for Certain Construction, adding insurance requirements for encroachments permits and clarifying types of construction requiring a permit and provide direction regarding rewrite of County Policy Number 14 "Street Closure" (Countywide).

The Board of Supervisors last amended Mendocino County Code Section 15.20.030 by Ordinance Number (No.) 319, adopted on March 1, 1950, and Ordinance No. 423, adopted on September 5, 1961. On March 7, 2017, the Board of Supervisors referred this matter to the Public Health, Safety and Resources Committee for review.
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
After referral from the Board of Supervisors, this matter was presented before the Public Health, Safety and Resources Committee on May 8, 2017, and again on July 10, 2017. Following review and discussion, the Committee directed staff to bring this matter back to the Board for discussion and possible action.
